Routine Writing Course

In the Routine Writing Course you will learn how to create Routines that will make your estimating faster and easier.

Routines are expressions that allow the user to input Quantities relevant to the particular bid, and the Routine can generate Sections, Items and Resources. No longer is there a one to one relationship - you can work on one Routine and generate many Items. You can also run many Routines within the one Project.

Routines are ideal for repetitive types of work, where generally only the quantities change. There are three different levels of Routines - Project, Section and Item Routines.

How to create Project Routines

Project Routines work at the entire project level, and will create Sections, Items, and Resources. These are created based on your answers to the questions which are asked in the Routine.

How to create Section Routines

Section Routines work within the Section to create Items and Resources.

How to create Item Routines

Item Routines work at the Item level and create Resources.

How to use commands in the Calculation fields within a Routine

This will allow you to speed up the writing of routines and lead to greater accuracy.
